Made from Hand spun, hand woven Organic Cotton, the Ixora Tunic features a v neck collar, long sleeves and deep right hand pocket. Breathable, comfortable and loose fitting, this dress falls to the knee and features hand embroidery in various places. Namely the blanket stitch around the collar and underarm panel in contrasting thread, and Ixora flowers (commonly known as the Jungle Flame Plant) that adorn the back panel and right hand sleeve that are native to Sittilingi, where Porgai Artisans live and work.

Porgai Artisans association works with Lambadi women artisans at Sittilingi, Tamil Nadu reviving the traditional craft of hand embroidery. In the process earning a “rural livelihood and discovering a life if dignity and self-worth.” The collection is made using organic cotton grown in the Sittilingi Valley. Through this collection, they represent the biodiversity of the area. The butterflies, flowers, and plant life that co inhabit their home.
