Gentle Cold Wash - immerse your Anjelms piece in cold water and gently hand wash it. If a washing machine is used, wash with similar colours and cold gentle cycle are recommended. A slight shrinkage (2.5% - 3.5%) and a soft, supple fabric after a few washes are to be expected.
Air Dry in the Shade - after washing, avoid wringing it out to preserve the fabric quality and lay flat or hang it to air dry in a shaded area to prevent fading and protect the fabric from the harsh effects of direct sunlight.
Avoid Harsh Detergents - to preserve the integrity of the colors and material, opt for mild, gentle pH-neutral detergents that are suitable for delicate fabrics. Avoid bleach and ironing on a low setting only if necessary.

Khamir’s Kala Cotton Initiative promotes sustainable cotton and supports local livelihoods. After the 2001 earthquake, industrial growth increased prosperity but threatened traditional weaving, reducing weavers from over 2,000 in the 1990s to around 600-700 today, due to challenges in sourcing raw materials and market adaptation. This approach enhances the sustainability of cotton farming while simultaneously strengthening the resilience of farming communities in the face of climate change.
