Artisan Craftmanship
The Ajrakh Collection is a collaboration between The ANJELMS Project and Suffiyan Khatri.
Cultural Significance
Ajrakh is a 4,500-year-old textile art, known for its intricate double-sided hand block printing and resist dyeing techniques. Using natural plant-based dyes like indigo and madder, each piece is created through a careful multi-step process, with layers of color added day by day using custom hand blocks to produce detailed, one-of-a-kind patterns.
Support Artisan Craftmanship
Every Ajrakh piece supports skilled artisans and sustainable fashion practices. Your purchase directly contributes to Suffyian and his community, helping preserve their cultural heritage while honoring people, tradition, and the planet.
Care Instructions
gentle cold wash
Immerse your Anjelms piece in cold water and gently hand wash it. If a washing machine is used, cold gentle cycle is recommended.
Air Dry in Shade
After washing, avoid wringing it out to preserve the delicate textile quality and lay it flat or hang to air dry in a shaded area to prevent fading and protect the fabric from the harsh effects of direct sunlight. Only iron on low heat.
Avoid harsh detergents
To preserve the integrity of the colors and material, opt for mild, gentle pH-neutral detergents that are suitable for delicate fabrics.
